Astor provides a range of additional community-based services which are designed to support children at home and in the community, and families at risk of having their children removed from the home. These services include early intervention, assessment, advocacy, counseling, referral, and case management, and are provided in the home as well as in select schools where Astor has contracts to provide such services.
In Dutchess County Astor provides the following services:
In Bronx County Astor operates a prevention program that is funded by the Administration for Children’s Services. Astor Family Services is located in the Williamsbridge section and serves children and families living in Community Districts 10, 11 and 12. Priority is given to serving families where there is high risk for child abuse and neglect, or placement out of the home. The preventive program is located at:
