Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of the Astor Home for Children and the Astor Learning Center through the Foundation.
The Astor Home for Children is dependant on donors like you to enable them to continue with their work — providing the highest quality care to children and families.
The benefits of Astor's work are truly felt within the many communities (over 25 sites) which it serves. Your help will ease the financial burden in carrying out this vital work!

Financial contributions
Unrestricted Gifts:
These gifts provide a pool of funds to the Foundation that are not restricted to specific program uses. Unrestricted gifts provide resources for incentive grants, faculty and staff professional development and special projects. These gifts are especially important and will provide support to the areas of greatest need.

Restricted Gifts:
These gifts are for specific Astor programs or projects (i.e., The Lawrence F. Hickey Fund for support of programs in the Bronx, Astor Early Childhood Programs, etc.). Please contact the Foundation directly for more information on Astor's programs and projects and how you can support them, at (845) 871-1117.
Special (memorial) Gifts:
These gifts enable the donor to remember a loved one, honor a family member, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, while supporting the work of the Astor Home for Children and the Astor Learning Center. An announcement of your gift will be sent to your honoree or their family. Please contact the Foundation directly for more information at (845) 871-1117.
Special Events
Throughout the year, The Foundation hosts special events (e.g., Annual Dinner, Golf Tournament, etc.). These events' primary purposes are to raise awareness about the programs and services of Astor, to make new friends in the community while enhancing existing relationships, and to raise funds in support of Astor's programs. In-kind Gifts
The Foundation gladly accepts in-kind donations (e.g., books, videos, toys, etc.,) on behalf of the Astor Home for Children and the Astor Learning Center. Please view our WISH LIST of current needs or contact the Foundation directly at (845) 871-1117.
Volunteering
Volunteers play a critical role in the work of Astor. We are always in need of volunteers with time, talent and skills! Please contact the Foundation at (845) 871-1117 to discuss your area of interest and we will gladly match you to an appropriate program or project.
Matching Gifts
Financial support is provided by companies through employee matching gift programs. These companies match their employees' donations to nonprofit organizations, enabling their employees to multiply their support by doubling, or in some cases tripling employee gifts. Matching gifts can be made through cash or pledges. To create a matching gift, contact your company's Human Resource Office.
