Astor’s Supporters Spring Into Spring!
Astor Services for Children & Families held a fundraising Reception on Friday, April 16, 2010 at their historic location in Rhinebeck, NY. Proceeds from the event will go toward improving Astor’s facilities to meet the health and safety need of their children and families.
The event, at which State Senator Stephen Saland was in attendance, featured an art show by one of its students and a poetry reading by one of Astor’s Board members, Dr. David Crenshaw. Dr.Crenshaw read from his book, “The Vision of the Heart, a Tribute in Poetry and Prose to the Healing Mission of Astor Services for Children & Families.”
During the event, Astor held a silent auction of children’s art work! Catering was provided by J&J Gourmet in Red Hook, N.Y. The evening was topped off with dancing to live music by The Top Hatters Swing Band.
