Astor’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) serves children who have severe emotional challenges that exceed community-based interventions. The RTC provides a higher level of care to better meet their psychiatric needs.

- Psychiatric services
- Individual & group therapy
- Physical health
- 24/7 Nursing
- Crisis prevention/intervention
- Case management
- Room & board
- 24/7 supervision by child care workers
- Therapeutic educational environment via Astor Learning Center
- Recreational activities
- Discharge planning
Referral Criteria:
- Children must be between the ages of 5 – 13
- Need more emotional and behavioral support than their community environment can provide
Referral Sources:
• Local departments of Social Services,
• The child’s home school district Committee
on Special Education (CSE)
