On October 24, more than 225 educators, mental health professionals, and various behavioral and community health providers came together to celebrate the annual Building Bridges Conference at Vassar College. The theme for this year's conference was "Building Bridges to Belonging," and was co-hosted by Astor Services, Dutchess County Department of Mental Helath, Poughkeepsie City School District, and Mental Health America of Dutchess County, NY. This year's Building Bridges included some motivating and thought-provoking speakers who spoke about topics such as school truancy, gang awareness, disability-inclusive awareness, and more! The conference also featured special appearances from Astor CEO Yvette Bairan and Dutchess County Executive Susan Serino, and a youth panel led by 5 local youths who shared their thoughts about relevant mental health topics. What an incredible day of learning new tools to better serve our youth! Senator Sue Serino #buildingbridges ... See MoreSee Less
