Astor Service’s Executive Director James McGuirk was interviewed on the Radio Program “Hudson Valley Focus” on Sunday, March 6, 2010. The program provides a great overview of Astor and is well worth a listen!
In this 25 minute program Dr. McGuirk covers many topics, including Astor’s mission, history and philosphy, the types and range of services offered by Astor, as well as Astor’s use of cutting edge business management tools and its acclaimed adaptation of those practices for a not-for-profit service organization. Dr. McGuirk also talks about his personal history and involvement with Astor, and the strong emotional commitment that both he and the Astor staff bring to their work.
