Financial Relief

Student Loans – State debt collection on student debt and medical debt will have payments frozen for at least 30 days.

Mortgage Relief – A 90-day mortgage relief period and foreclosures are suspended or postponed for those facing financial hardship because of COVID-19.

Catholic Charities – Feeding Our Neighbors Food Program

WCK to distribute meals in The Bronx
As the immediate and ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States continues to evolve, World Central Kitchen is working to identify needs across the country and how to respond most effectively. Beginning Tuesday, March 17, in partnership with Bronx Assemblymember Michael Blake of the 79th District, WCK will distribute thousands of fresh, individually packaged grab-and-go meals to local families.
These meals will be available to anyone in the area who needs extra support during this uncertain time. Using our expertise as a food logistics organization, we will be distributing meals at the designated sites listed below during lunchtime. They will be individually-packed fresh meals, ready to heat at home.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance for Businesses Impacted by COVID-19. 
The City will provide relief for small businesses across the City seeing a reduction in revenue because of COVID-19. NYC Employee Retention Grant Program – the City is offering small businesses with fewer than 5 employees a grant to cover 40% of payroll costs for two months to help retain employees.

iPad Distribution
To keep students connected and able to participate in remote learning, the DOE is lending 300,000 internet-enabled iPads to students. Priority will be given to students most in need. All devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per student. Learn more at
